  1. Be on top of communication
If you’re researching a transfer process, it’s up to you to pursue your next steps.Communication is vital when trying to stay current on deadlines and submit documents. Also, your communication with admissions counselors is your opportunity to ask questions. And there’s a good chance that they will be super helpful to you!
  2. Always keep a copy of your transcripts on file
Requesting college transcripts from your past colleges can take time and money, so always keep a copy handy at all times. This will speed up your process.
  3. File your FAFSA early!
Students can now apply for their FAFSA with their prior year’s taxes, meaning you can apply as early as October 1! This is great for getting ahead of the game and being financially prepared.
  4. Visit campus
Campus visits give you the opportunity to meet with professors or coaches, get a feel for what life is like on campus, and decide what residence hall you would like to live in. This will help you see if a particular school is a good fit. And it will help you finalize their decision so that you can be prepared to make a transition.
  5. Submit your enrollment deposit!!!
Once a student makes their final decision to attend NCU, this should be their first priority. This is the key that unlocks class registration, housing placement, and secures their spot at NCU.
