The job of a church worship leader has been growing to a broader level year after year. Many church worship leader positions require far more than being able to lead a worship team on Sundays.

From helping out in leading church musicals, to writing worship albums for your own church, your artistic abilities will be utilized in every way possible. A worship leading degree will aid you in developing the skills to complete all of those tasks and more. The more you are able to offer to a church, the more likely the church of your choice will want you as well.

Impact lives of students as a music teacher

Having a worship leading degree shows people that you know and have a passion for anything pertaining to music. Because of this, you have a great opportunity to teach and share your passion with others who are excited to learn.

Being a worship leading major at the right college will give you opportunities to be taught new instruments and expand your skills in class and in the real world, on instruments you already know. These skills will open doors of opportunity for you to teach others musical skills and allow you the chance to positively influence musicians of the next generation.

Make music as a recording artist

When people ask, “who is a worship leader?”, the answer is often “someone who has a passion for music as well as a passion for following the Lord.” So worship leading majors often combine the two and find a career in a church.

But worship leaders can pursue musical careers outside of church buildings as well. Becoming a recording artist offers the chance to continue your passion of music after college. A recording artist can record his or her own songs or play an instrument for other artists either in the studio or in concert. Whether you play for christian or secular artists, the world is always in need of strong christians working in the marketplace.

Lead musicians as a choir director

If you love music and also have great leadership qualities, becoming a choir director might be a good fit for your life after graduation. This position is not limited to churches either. Many schools, non for profits, and organizations that put on plays, need a well rounded choir director. This career path gives you the opportunity to teach and to work toward bringing the best performances out of people.

Anything music related

Many of the best worship leading schools offer a real practice experience that mixes both class learning and real performing experience. A hands on experience will allow you to develop a real feel of what its like to be in that field.
